An essential element of FCMU's mission is the timely dissemination of information to policy makers, providers, and health care advocates. Generally, FCMU releases three types of publications: (1) reports and chartbooks are generally twenty to thirty pages in length, and detail the purpose, methods, and findings of a particular study. Chartbooks are a convenient and easy-to-read way to present a large amount of data; (2) issue briefs are short essays describing a general issue or synthesizing the findings of our research, and fact sheets contain a mix of narrative and graphics in an easy-to-use and brief format that allows the reader to quickly identify key points. Both issue briefs and fact sheets are formats that appeal to policymakers who want a synthesis of research findings. The third publication FCMU offers readers is a cyclical newsletter which highlights our most recent findings and draws attention to relevant changes and events within the Center.

Through its publications, FCMU serves as an informational resource to Florida and the entire nation. Policy makers, advocates, students, health care providers, and patients are able use our work to learn or review issues pertaining to state health policy.
