5th Annual Florida Medicaid Research Conference, 2006: Patient Empowerment and Health Literacy

This year's conference will explore key topics surrounding Medicaid patient empowerment and health literacy, two major principles of reform driving Florida's section 1115 Research and Demonstration Waiver.

    Panels will focus on three primary areas of discussion:
  1. Consumers, Communication,
    and Choice Counseling;
  2. Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities,
    Cultural Competencies; and
  3. the Role and Application of Technology in Health Literacy.
